What is Axolotl Autistics?

Axolotl is a closed, anonymous, autistic-only forum designed for autistic communication styles, not neurotypical expectations.

It exists so we can:

  • support each other and share about special interests and living life on "hard mode"
  • communicate directly
  • skip performative niceness
  • talk a lot or not at all
  • disappear and return without ceremony

What does this forum assume?

This forum assumes:

  • good intent
  • sensory sensitivity
  • social fatigue
  • asynchronous existence
    (You are not late. Time is fake.)

How do I join?

Are there rules and guidelines?

Yes. A few. So you don’t have to guess.

  • You do not owe anyone a reply.
  • Silence is neutral.
  • Starting mid-thought is fine.
  • Context may appear later.
  • Or not at all.
  • Correcting information is allowed.
  • Tone policing is not.
  • Info-dumping is encouraged.
  • Over-explaining is not a flaw here.
  • Disappearing is expected.
  • Returning later without explanation is acceptable.
  • No one will ask you to “tell us about yourself.”
    Ever.

How is this funded?

I am personally funding this site and forum.

At some point, I plan to sell Axolotl merch to help subsidize the cost of running it.

There is:

  • no pressure
  • no upsell funnel
  • no emotional manipulation

Just special interest deep dives. And possibly stickers and funny t-shirts later.
